Welcome to Finnkibu.
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Finnkibu online store. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Finnkibu
Finnkibu is the customer-facing brand of Finnkibuye, a Finnish business offering thoughtfully made goods, including textiles, accessories, bags, jewellery, homewares and other pieces created through our network of makers.
Registered business name: FINNKIBUYE

2. Our Products
Finnkibu pieces are made with care and, where applicable, by hand using traditional techniques.
Because of the nature of handmade and artisan production, slight variations in colour, texture, pattern, size or finish may occur. These variations are part of the character of the piece and are not considered defects.
Product photographs are intended to represent the products as accurately as possible. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen and device.
Product descriptions, measurements, materials and other relevant information are provided on the individual product pages.
3. Prices
Finnkibu's base prices are set in euros (€).
Depending on the country or market you are shopping from, prices may be displayed in your local currency, including CAD, USD or JPY.
Local-currency prices may be automatically converted from our euro prices or may be individually adjusted for a particular market.
The price and currency displayed at checkout are the price and currency applicable to your order.
Prices shown to customers include applicable taxes where required by law. Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed during the ordering process before the order is completed.
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country may apply. Where such charges are not collected by Finnkibu at checkout, they may be payable by the customer.
Finnkibu reserves the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and confirmed.
4. Orders
When you place an order through the Finnkibu online store, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
The order confirmation contains information about your purchase, including the products ordered, prices, delivery information and payment details.
If we are unable to fulfil an order, for example because a product has unexpectedly become unavailable, we will contact you and refund any payment already made for the unavailable product.
5. Payment
Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
The available payment methods and any applicable payment costs will be presented during the ordering process.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have the right to use the selected payment method.
By completing an order, you acknowledge that the order creates a payment obligation.
6. Delivery
Orders are shipped from Finland using the delivery methods available for the destination country.
Delivery times and available delivery methods are presented during the ordering process and in our Shipping & Delivery information.
Estimated delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery date or period has been expressly agreed.
If a delivery is delayed, we will provide information where appropriate and work to resolve the matter.
International deliveries may be subject to customs procedures, import duties, taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.
For full information, please see our Shipping & Delivery page.
7. Right of Withdrawal
Most products purchased online have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
For goods, the withdrawal period normally begins when you receive the goods. You may also exercise your right of withdrawal before the goods have been delivered.
You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your right of withdrawal.
You must notify Finnkibu of your decision to withdraw within the applicable withdrawal period. After notifying us, the goods must generally be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice.
How to withdraw
Finnkibu provides an online withdrawal function for purchases made through the online store.
The withdrawal function is available through the same online interface used to make the purchase and is intended to be easy to find and use throughout the withdrawal period.
The withdrawal function allows you to identify the order and submit your withdrawal notice. You will receive an acknowledgement of your withdrawal notice on a durable medium, such as email.
You may also withdraw from your purchase by sending a freely worded withdrawal notice to:
info@finnkibu.com
You may also use the statutory withdrawal form where applicable.
The availability of the online withdrawal function does not limit your right to withdraw by another legally permitted method.
8. Return Costs
Unless otherwise stated, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning an unwanted product after exercising the right of withdrawal.
Where the law requires Finnkibu to bear the return cost, Finnkibu will do so.
Information about return costs and the return procedure is provided before purchase and in our **Returns** policy.
If a product cannot reasonably be returned by ordinary post because of its nature, any applicable return cost will be communicated before purchase.
9. Condition of Returned Products
You may examine a product in the same way that you would reasonably be able to examine it in a physical store.
If a product has been used or handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, Finnkibu may have the right to deduct from the refund an amount corresponding to the reduction in value caused by such handling, where permitted by law.
Products should be returned in a condition suitable for resale where reasonably possible.
This does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
10. Products Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products or situations where an exclusion is permitted by law.
For example, this may include certain sealed products which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once the seal has been opened.
Any applicable exclusion will be communicated to the customer before purchase.
A product being discounted, on sale or described as second-quality does not by itself remove the statutory right of withdrawal.
11. Refunds
When you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, Finnkibu will refund the applicable payments in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless another method has been agreed with you.
Finnkibu will refund the applicable amount without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.
However, where permitted by law, Finnkibu may wait until the returned goods have been received or until you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back.
Where required by law, the refund includes the standard delivery cost paid for the original order. Additional costs resulting from choosing a more expensive delivery method are not necessarily refundable.
12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Finnkibu is responsible for products that are faulty, damaged on arrival or materially different from what was ordered, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
If you receive a faulty, damaged or incorrect product, please contact us at:
info@finnkibu.com
Please include your order number and, where useful, photographs showing the issue.
We will assess the matter and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
Your statutory rights regarding defects are not limited by these Terms & Conditions.
13. Handmade & Artisan Products
Many Finnkibu products are handmade or produced using traditional techniques.
Small differences between individual pieces may occur because of the natural materials, traditional techniques and people involved in their creation.
These characteristics are part of the nature of artisan production and do not affect your statutory rights where a product is genuinely defective.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on the Finnkibu website, including photographs, text, product names, graphics, logos, designs and other materials, belongs to Finnkibu or is used with permission.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially use Finnkibu content without prior written permission.
15. Website Use
You agree to use the Finnkibu website lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with its operation, security or availability.
Finnkibu may update, modify or discontinue parts of the website or its services when necessary.
16. Personal Information
Personal information provided when placing an order is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
We use customer information to process orders, provide customer service, arrange delivery and fulfil our legal and contractual obligations.
17. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Finnkibu is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including postal disruptions, strikes, severe weather, natural disasters, customs delays, transport disruptions, government actions or other events that cannot reasonably be prevented.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
18. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about your order or our service, please contact us first:
info@finnkibu.com
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter directly with you.
Consumers in Finland may also seek assistance from the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services and, where applicable, bring a dispute before the Consumer Disputes Board.
19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Finland.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to customers under the laws of their country of residence.
20. Changes to These Terms
Finnkibu may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to your purchase is the version in effect when your order is accepted.
